Google has finally introduced its its “Year of Search” reports, According to this report, google claims that more than 50% of Indian go online for dating.
“The searches in dating apps and downloads went hand on hand in 2016. Dating related searches grew by 50%, along with a 53% increase in dating apps download,” reports claims
Reports says “The Indian’s not only interested in online dating, but they also choose as a medium to plan their weddings”.
“The consumer interest in wedding related categories, such as “Photographers”, “weeding planning”, “weeding dress”, and many more has increased by 30%,” ” We are expecting that online marriage market to be doubled from 492 crore’s to 1,197 crore’s by 2020″, report says.
Following the Google’s info, 2016 turned out to be a “year of transformation” for India, as the technology giant saw the growth in searches in across all the major sectors including cars, banking, education, e-commerce, Retail, tourism, entertainment and telecommunications.
According to Google India, VP and GM Rajan Anandan, who says “India emerged as a “second largest internet and smartphone economy” in the globe.
“Accessible to the high-speed Internet with turbo-charged appetites and opened up a new online world for the users across the entire length and breadth of the country” He added.
The report also claims a “five times growth in watch time in beauty tips and content styles” last year.
But it is not only about the beauty and content style, Google also recorded a growth in Internet users who are watching videos online for learning.
“Over 32% of the Internet users watches video online to keep up with trends and more than 50% of Indian Internet users watches video online to learn something news” reports claims.
The report also predict that the onlien real estate market is expected to grow to Rs 900 crore and the number of women buyers online to increase to 75million by 2020 from the current 15 million.
