On Thursday, the New-York based legal research giant LexisNexis announced the acquisition of Ravel law, a Sans Fransisco based law search and data visualization startup for undisclosed amount.

This deal will allow the New-York based company to add Ravel’s technology in its own products, to provide better services on its platforms.

Ravel was founded in 2012, in a dormitory at Stanford Law School.

Till now, Ravel law has raised 14.1 million as funding from X Fund, New Enterprise Associates, North Bridge Venture Partners, Work-Bench and Ulu Ventures.
