The Mumbai based, online insurance startup Coverfox, has raised $15 million in latest C round funding, backed by US insurer Transamercia, with its other existing investors.
In 2015, Coverfox raised $12 million form Accel Partners, SAIF Partners and others, who has finally invested $2 million in series A round funding.
In September 2015, nearly a few month after raising A round funding, Coverfox raised an undisclosed amount form Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy’s private investment firm Catamaran.
Coverfox provides a platform to its users to search, compare, buy and manage the insurance.
Curiously, Coverfox co-founder Varun Dua, who left the company, has founded Acko General Insurance. Last month, Acko raised $ 30 million in seed round funding which was led by Catamaran, Accel, SAIF Partners and others.
