Amazon has today introduce it’s new video conferencing and communication service called Chime, which is primarily focus on business users.
In addition to VoIP calls and video conferences, Chime also includes virtual meetings, allowing users to post or to join the meeting via remote services. The price starts at $2.50 one user per month, with higher level of $15 per user, which includes video and screen sharing along with other functions. chime also includes a free version, with limited video and chat service between two users.
Chime is not just a alternative to video communication services like Skype or Google Hangout, it it is also provide o a virtual meeting place where companies such as GoToMeeting and Cisco (WebEX) are leading.
VP of enterprise application at AWS, Gene Farrel said in a statement that ” It is very difficult to find a right people who actually like the technology that they uses in day to day meetings. Most of the application or services for the meetings are difficult to use, as they deliver poor audio and video that demand constant switching between multiple tools to do everything they want, as they are too expensive.”
Currently Chime is available for Windows, iOS and Android devices.
