In an report published in The Economic Times, claims that The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has ban more than 12 unofficial Aadhaar related websites and mobile apps that were driving services related to Aadhaar illegally and charging a high amount from uninformed public.
It seems like UIDAI is on the hunt, and even led ban additional 26 unofficial sites and mobile apps who are allegedly engaged in illicit activities under the pretext of Aadhaar services.
The website and mobile apps , which are found currently are engaged in providing UIDAI services such as downloading online Aadhaar card, Providing Aadhaar generation status, Aadhaar pvc cards and many more, and even excessive charging money for services rendered.
UIDAI, CEO Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, has urged the people to stop using such websites and mobile apps as they do in more ways than one, invade the privacy of the citizen.
Currently almost 12 mobile apps have been removed from App stores.
