Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has finally announced the launch date of her new book,”Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience and Finding Joy.”

Sheryl latest book is Lean In, which was dedicated to women, feminism, leadership and business development sold million of copies and ended up on the top of the bestseller list, and she was named one of the top 100 most influential women in 2012 by Time magazine.

In her forthcoming book, “Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience and Finding Joy” tells how she gained meaning and happiness after her husband sudden death, Dave Goldberg in 2015. On Facebook post, she said the title of the book was inspired by the conversation she had with a friend.

On Facebook post she added “A few weeks after my husband death, I was taking to my friend Phil Dutch about a parent-child activity that Dave was not here to do. We came up with a new plan for someone to follow in the footsteps of what my son did not, I’d have to cry, but I want Dave. “Phil put his arm around me and said, ‘Option A is not available, so let’s kick the shit out of Option B”.

“This became my mantra, and during the last two years I tried to find the meaning and happiness after our despair. Because nobody’s life is perfect, we all live in some form of Option B. This is my deepest hope that the option B will help others to know that what I have learned: when life pushes you, you can hit the bottom, break the surface and breathe again,” She wrote further.

‘Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy’,  has been co-written with Adam Grant and would be released on April 24, 2017.
