India‘s third largest telecom company ‘Idea Cellular’ has today announced that, “It has topped the highest 4G upload speed chart in September.”
Citing to the Trai’s owned MySpeed app data reports, the company in it’s statement said that “Idea Cellular has topped the chart in the terms of average download speed of 4G in September t 6.307 Mbps.”
During the same month, it has reported that “an average download speed of 8.74 Mbps (megabits per second) .”
According to data available on the Trai site, Idea took the pole position at 4G climb speed, followed by Vodafone, Reliance Jio and Airtel. In terms of download speed of 4G, Idea ranked third, after Jio and Vodafone, showed Trai data.
The company in its press released aid that “Idea has rapidly expanded its network to 2.60 lakh site nationwide with 50% dedicated to mobile broadband services.”
The company also said it added about 50,000 broadband sites in the past 12 months to August, growing its broadband footprint to cover 5,888 census towns and about 1.05 lakh villages and reach 45 percent of the country’s population.
