The Government of India is planning to go for 5G spectrum action this year, in order to advance it’s the latest communication technology.
According to the TOI reports, “The 5G auction will be carried out by selling the spectrum in the bands of more than 3,000MHz, and the sale will take place for the first time.”
The government is also planning to sell the remaining spectrum in bands like 800MHz, 900, 1.800, 2.100, 2.300 and 2.500 MHz.
The sources claims that “The file has been moved within the telecommunication ministry, and make a reference to Trai on on the issue very soon”.
The 5G will be sold in the band like 3300 MHz and 3400 MHz, with this the government hopes that this will be used for a number of initiatives and services of new generation, including Internet of Things(IoT), machine-to machine, instant transmission of HD video and Music downloads and also for connecting smart city.

The person familiar with this matters told that “These type of groups have a good potential, if they are viewed from the point of the view of what we are aiming at, from the point of technical progress. We are ready to move forward at an early stage of introducing new technologies as well as receive a response from the industry on this issue”.
