India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has today signed a new deal with Sun Mobility promoter Chetan Maini, to develop electric mobility solutions.
In a statement issued by Ashok Leyland, said that “This partnership between Sun Mobility and Ashok Leyland will undermine India’s innovation and engineering potential for developing electric mobility solutions.”
Vinod K Dasari, GM and CEO of Ashok Leyland said that “We are proud of this partnership and we hope to bring new innovative products in market as soon as possible”.
After this deal Sun Mobility Vice President Chetan Maini, said that “We hope to set up a strategic alliance in the field of mass electric mobility”.
“This partnership will help people move masses with efficient, pollution-free and cost-effective solutions for electric mobility,” he added.
Sun Mobility is a 50:50 joint venture between Virya Mobility 5.0 and SUN New Energy Systems which pioneers in areas of electric mobility and clean energy.
