The networking giant Cisco has made a new announcement at its ongoing customer conference,Cisco Live that “Cisco Jasper has expanded its (IoT) Internet of Technology platforms.”
The new enhanced Jasper platform, Control Center 7.0, aims to meet the business needs for greater flexibility with the new multi-tiered IoT platform, which claims to provide companies with various options to meet their specific needs, regardless of the IoT implementation phase.
A completely new platform is combined with a set of Premium services that eliminate previously unmet needs in the industry related to monetization and IoT security.
Jasper currently used by 11,000 customers, with the new Control Center 7.0, Cisco want to increase it’s user base and also expand its IoT implementations.
While interacting with audience, Cisco IoT General Manager Jahangir Mohammad said “More that 10 years ago, we presented our Control Center (IoT) connectivity Management platform, and since then it has became one of the largest IoT platform which covers 43 million devices managed today and adds more than 1.5 million new devices per month.”
“What we learned from the success of IoT for our 11K customers is that companies have different needs at different stages of their trip to IoT. Therefore, today we represent the biggest evolution of our Control Center IoT platform, providing a flexible model and New Premium Services that help meet customer needs at any stage, “he added.
Cisco claims to offer a unique approach to IoT solutions with Control Center 7.0. The company claims that the new offer allows customers and service partners to flexibly select and customize capabilities and services in accordance with their requirements. At the same time, it also offers scalability as business needs grow.
The company also said that US telecommunications company AT & T, a provider of Cisco Jasper services, integrates these additional capabilities to meet IoT needs for a wide range of industries.
Cisco acquired Jasper in February 2016 in a deal worth $ 14 billion.
